Sorry readers but I did not mention this in my last post. I will not be starting the thrice-a-week posting until the first week in October. This is just so I an get ready for it an get more organized with the posting.
See you then, Drew
Sorry about missing the last two days of blog posts. Unfortunatly the comitment I made to you and the blog was just a bit too much. So I have decided to take it down to at least three (3) blog posts a week, one story and two app reviews. Along with maybe a bonus post!
So stay subscribed and look for the reviews.
Those of you that saw my tweet about getting my iMac fixed it brought up a good argument for the Mac v.s. PC debate. Now before I get into this I just want to say that I am not wanting this to end up in a heated comment war, I am just giving my experiences and opinions from both sides of the computer world.
First off I just want to say that there is no good or bad in a computer. It is just what you want to use it for that counts. Sure Macs usually cost more but they last longer and they are made by the same company that makes the software, Apple. Macs provide you with an interface that most say is the most simple computer interface on the market. Now one thing that Macs currently are not big into is gaming. Although they are starting to get there with Steam for Mac, but it is still a very small market.
Now Windows computers very in many things, but a few things they provide is a big universe of gaming, and are a less expensive option to buying a computer. Although, PC hardware is made by many different company, while the software is just made by one person.
So as you can see it all depends what you want to use your computer for. I will have to admit I used to use a desktop computer running on Windows XP, up until 2008 where I got my first MacBook. So from then on I just could not get away from the Mac OS. As for all you PC fans out there that just hate Macs, or even people who don’t, go an use a Mac for once! Just use it and play around with it for a while, you may want to switch to a Mac, or at least think it is cool. So this weeks challenge for you guys is to go and use a Mac!

Getting an iPod Touch was probably my best mobile technology investment yet, and after that, update the software when ever possible! Well the iPod Touch has been around for a while and so have iOS applications, but one things that is just starting to really explode in iOS games are social networks. Now that Apple is seeing app downloads explode they though about getting into the gaming market as well.
This all started when Apple announced they will be having a new update for iPhones and iPod Touch devices, iOS 4.0.
Now Game Center is here and some say it good and some say it’s bad, but it all depends. There are many games that already support it and a lot even have multiplayer. Although pop ups are annoying as ever! They make a sound that is like you just won some sort of contest, and they can wake you up in the middle of the night in a way that makes you want to through your device out of the window. A lot of people also complain about the design of this, like it is not “Appley” enough. I think different! You don’t want to have a too simple interface because then users will think it is boring, you have to make things come alive and pop out so users will want to use it.
So all in all there are some goods and bass to Game Center, but I defiantly think this will keep getting big as new features are added and as long as more game have support for it.
If you would like to play me in one of your Game Center games add me as a friend by going to the Friends tab, clicking “+”, and typing in “drewmark”!
Ok, so many of you may know now that I have a lot of interests and skills to share. So in order to do that I am making a blog post every day (but I will miss some days due to vacation ad what not). Each day you will see a blog post from me on just something I think you guys should know, or an awesome story on the internet. I will also be doing series blog posts where I execute a task for a few days.
Stay tuned in!

As you may know I am part of an iPhone development team that goes by the name of Shut-Down Studios. We are just getting started but think we have an amazing first app. It is called “Camera Cloud”. This application is a revolutionary camera app that brings the best out of your iPhone or iPod Touch’s camera, and its touch screen capability.
Happy birthday to Mario, happy birthday to Mario, happy birth… Dude Mario is 25! Sorry for the delay on writing happy birthday, but I was too busy playing the original Mario game! I am sure all of my readers know who the famous Mario is, and I am also sure that a lot of you have really high scores.
Today as I was trying to get more of an idea for how to make the “most extreme arcade game”, I was looking on YouTube for game play on arcade games. Although as many may know when you are on YouTube you tend to find what you are looking for, plus much more. So in this case I can across a video where, in short words, pixels take over a city. When I came across this video I instantly liked it! This video has amazing edits and effects that brings in some of the most classic 8bit characters and games.
